The Van Buren Fine Arts Center is thrilled to announce our upcoming district-wide elementary art exhibition, featuring artwork from over 2200 elementary art students in the Van Buren School District. We are excited to showcase the creativity and talent of our young artists and invite everyone to come and enjoy this special installation.

The Van Buren School District's Elementary Arts Classes are in for an exciting few weeks ahead! Students will be introduced to the works of renowned artists including Romero Britto, Eric Carle, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Marcus Pfister. Along with learning about them, students will create their own art in both 2-D and 3-D formats, inspired by the styles of these artists. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to explore their creativity and learn about the world of art.

We are also excited to share that the Van Buren Fine Arts Center is committed to promoting literacy among our students. As part of this effort, the VBFAC is providing each art class in our elementary schools with a set of books written by or based on these six artists. Our hope is that this initiative will inspire a passion for both reading and art in our students.

This exciting initiative will culminate with a special District-wide art installation on March 26, 2024. All elementary students will have their work on exhibit at the Van Buren Fine Arts Center for the families and the public to come view. We are excited to see the amazing creations our students have in store for us and we hope to see you there!
